This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

I'm putting up for sale a Phoenix Metal Creations (Erik Stevenson) rapier with an Angus Trim blade. Erik Stevenson's hilt work is fantastic, and he no longer makes swords, so this is a bit of a collector's item. It is a very nice sword, both functionally and aesthetically. The hilt is a variant of the A.V.B. Norman Hilt types 74 and 75. As far as I know this is the only one of this type he made.

The sword is quite lovely. The bars of the hilt are elegant, and the spiral-carved and wire wrapped grip both looks wonderful and feels great. The blade has an excellent polish.

Best of all is the handling of this piece. The sword feels wonderful in all typical Italian rapier actions. The tip control is excellent in thrusting and defending, and the sword has just enough heft to make decent cuts. The edge is reasonably sharp, although this is certainly a thrust-oriented weapon.

The sword comes with a leather over wood scabbard, though the scabbard does not appear to have originally belonged to the sword so it is a little loose. The scabbard is nothing special, so I just consider it a way to store the blade safely.

Stats:

Overall length: 47"
Weight: 2.9 pounds
Width of guard: 10"
Blade: 41" long (including 2” ricasso); 1" wide tapering to 0.5"
Grip length: 3"
Point of Balance (PoB): 4" from guard
Center of Percussion (CoP): ~27" from guard

It is in as-new condition. I'd like to get $900 [EDIT: Now reduced to $750] for it, which includes shipping to the continental U.S. PayPal users, please add the additional charges Trades are a possibility, but I'm mostly looking for cash.

I've had a number of PMs, but no sale yet. So I'm going to go ahead and lower the price to $850.

Dropping the price to $750. This is the lowest I'm willing to go, and if no one buys it, I'll happily keep it. Happy

Don't forget that this comes with a black leather scabbard with steel tip and chape.
