This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
I imagine most of you are aware of Osprey Books, if not, in short they are sort of a cliff's notes version of the time period, people, places, campaigns etc. that they are titled after. Each book typically contains not only contemporary art work, pictures of artifacts and places but also a series of color plates illustrating people in contemporary garb, weapons etc. These Del Prado versions are cliff's notes of the cliff's notes if you will. I believe that each of these little books originally came with a toy soldier and was used to help the purchaser paint the solider more authentically. The books then, focus even more narrowly then the Osprey book that they are an abridgement of. Each book still contains useful pictures, illustrations and color plates all taken from the original Osprey Title.
