I've long wanted to set up a 12th or 13th century kit, and the one thing I'm missing is a good sword for the period.

So I was thinking...I'm not overly nuts about my Munich, why not trade it for a Baron with a nice scabbard? Something like an Albion historical scabbard or Christian Fletcher scabbard, with suspension.

My Munich has the standard wrap, oxblood. Never been used for cutting anything other than noodles, so the blade is as pristine as it was when it left the Albion shop.

Although with the new prices, the cost of a Baron + scabbard is a tad more than the Munich (or about the same, depending on scabbard options), the Baron used to sell for 600 bucks, so I'd consider this a good trade.

Any takers?
