Long time since i posted here, and this will be just an exeption (no time at the moment).
I am having a pair of gloves or mittens SEWN for me (yes in leather not steel..) and i am trying to find some illustrations depicting gloves, mittens etc in the 15th century. Unfortunatly MY archive of illustrations are farely slim when it comes to mittens made of leather so id thought id ask around these parts..

I'd always thought of that pattern (we call it the 'alien hand glove') as a 13th/early 14th century thing. It shows up in the Lutterel Psalter, but I can't recall seeing it in later manuscripts. Do you have an pictures or documentation for it later in the 14th century and into the 15th? If you do I'd love to see it because I want to make a pair
You have some very very neat pictures there, thanks for posting them.

Robert Campin The Nativity 1420:
There are only a few images of gloves here and there and a handfull of finds, many are mittens of leather. Just dont split the finers of my pattern if you want a mitten. Many of the extant mittens including the MOL images I listed are 16th century.
