I wouldn't worry. People make allowances, were pleased that you take an interest in our history. Are you thinking of first person? I'm not a fan, you aren't able to explain things, and we don't know enough to do a really good job.
Oh, lets just pull out our swords and start whacking at each other, that'll solve everything!

Martin,
That is the interesting thing about reenactment for me. Even being american most of my geneology goes back to britain (sw scotland and england) so it is a way to enjoy the heritage they left. I have always liked medieval history but there is something cool to be able to do reenactment in places where it happened, castles and the like. it is just so neat. ALthough greatly different now from then it still is great.
I find reenacters who try and speak the speak from their eras somewhat funny as we can tell how they spelled but it is hard to guess how they said it. There was an article a few years back that indicated that most dialects in europe have changed so much that it would be very different from what it was then.

Irish...yeah hear that a lot at work but also hear, "Are you canadian/kiwi/australian?". Have even been confused for polish once.
I am leaning towards the Marcher Freemen but Rae is leaning towards the Yorkshire Yeomen (Saville Household).

The Savs are good lads, I don't think I have run into the Freemen at events but they look ok from their gallery. Looking forward to hitting you sometime

What group are you with Martin?
I am leaning towards something of a Spanish mercenary in England portrayl...hoping to do some first person historical interpretation. Most of my kit being of English and Italian flavour currently...hoping to learn more about 15th century spain.
