Hi all, I'm considering buying a Cold Steel two handed great sword and have been unable to find any non-marketing material on it.

Does anyone here own one? If so how have you found it?

I have read some bad things about Cold Steel's Grosse Messers and Hand and a Half swords especially regarding weakness in the shoulder and tang and was wondering if this problem carried across into their great sword.

I would be using this sword primarily as a wall-hanger and possibly for occasional cutting (I would like it to be capable of cutting even if I don't use it for this) so detail on it's suitability for this would also be very welcome.

While I'm on it what would this sword have been used for? It seems about a foot shorter than those used to break up pike formations.

Any help/advice would be very much appreciated

Matt
