I bought a dagger blade, crossguard, and a 'sort of' pommel at MRL. Now, I can make a handle for it, but I am not espeically happy with the length of the grip if the pommel is put on with a nut, so I would like to find some sort of threaded ball I can use as a pommel. I'm going for a quillon dagger.
Now, I've seen 'decorative nuts" in the past, but I'm not sure where to get them. I haven't seen them in the hardware store, am I not looking hard enough? I called a crafts store, but they didn't know. Suggested a clock repair shop, but that feels sort of 'hit or miss' to me, though I may try later.
Does anyone have any good sources?
Whilst we are on the subject, does anyone have any good sources for dagger crossguard?
P.S. I didn't put this in the market place, as I'm not looking for a direct buy, just a few pointers on where to look.
