Does anyone out there know where I can get a new Dhal? I know they make them for the Indian martial arts, but I have only found one outdated link to order them. I want one to mess around with but all I can find are antiques.
Thanks,
Steve

What about these guys:

I don't know if they are any good, i just came across them in my internet wanderings.
Mind you, I have a strong suspicion that most steel dhals were made for ceremonial/parade purposes only. I think that dhals that saw action were usually made of hide or bound cane.

Stephen,
I've moved your thread here to the Historical Arms Talk forum. The Marketplace is only for people buying or selling used items. Thanks!

Sorry Chad, wasn't sure, scratched my head for a bit deciding where to post it.....
Thanks Hisham, once again you point me in the right direction. I think you are probably right about the construction, I would imagine economics had a lot to do with what they were made of.
I was reading one of the past threads on Gatka and am quite intrigued but it. There are no schools near me but I would like to mess around with the techiniques I have seen in videos and read so far. I have the opportunity to meet Sikhs where I am located right now and might just find one to teach me a little.
I was hoping someone out there knew where to get the small iron dhals they use for the training.
Thanks again!
Steve
