Hi all,

I've found the sword shown below in the photo album gallery.

Could someone give extra information about it ? Spécifications? Location? Additional pictures? All material will be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

David

I put that photo in the galleries but have no more information about it. I don't remember ever seeing it, in fact.

Thanks for you answer Nathan. Too bad nobody did recognize this sword.

Maybe someone could give info on this one then (that's the pommel used as inspiration for Albion's Count) :

Cheers,

David

Well, I received some additional information about this sword (with the octagonal pommel) from Patrick Bartá :

"It is the sword of the grand
master of German knives order Konrad,"Graf des Thuringen und Hessen",
1239-41.Total lenght of the sword is 1165mm, blade lenght 947mm, blade
width 53mm, weight 1350g.The sword was found in Pregolje, the village in
ost German near the Elbe. The pommel is from bronze,in coat of arm is on
front side with adler and back the lion. The blade is inlayed by yellow
metall,on front side is the heard and the wolf, back side greek cross and
the wolf."

Nobody can develop this? Peter Johnsson perhaps? Pics are welcome.

Cheers,

David
