Hi! Do You have any information about barbuta's lining?Any pictures?Was it only leather basket similar to german salada?Did they still use a special separate cap like in basinets or was it integral?I've found this picture-but it is modern reproduction-and I use similar-it is not comfortable...

It coul be atatched through holes in the helmet itself

if you look at the originals you can see they had there own liners. the rivet holes around the temple area that go around the head suggest this. now i'd saw it was a linen liner but i would need to look it up for proof.
