Vladimir;

You might find this site interesting as it deals mostly with maille and making it.
Oh, and welcome to this site. Big Grin

Unfortunately that site deals mostly with mail as modern jewelry not as armor. Head dresses, bracelets, necklaces, etc. You'll find very little information on historical points of mail manufacture and design. If someone knows of a site dedicated to historic mail I'd like to know about it!

How about www.theringlord.com? He seems to be into a little bit of everything.

That's the same company as the one Jean posted. His link is to their discussion forum. It's a good place to get supplies, but not really valuable in the information department.

Patrick;

You are probably right about that site not being very usefull for historical research and I don't see much about rivetted maille,
I have that site Bookmarked for occasional light reading.

In the absence of anything better there might still be some interesting information there for hobby making of maille.

Vladimir's original post is a little bare of any specific questions, so it's difficult to know exactly what could be useful information for him. I decided that any information would be better than none !

There may be a language barrier here: I don't want to assume anything ?

In any case, my reply was mostly to give Vladimir a welcoming to " myArmoury "

I hope Vladimir asks for more specific information so that we can try to help him better find the information he is looking for.

No worries Jean. Big Grin

Personally I didn't interperate Vladimir's post as a request for assistance, but more as an introduction of himself and his wares. I could be mistaken though.

TRL is an interesting forum mostly populated by teenagers and college age people interested in making jewelry and fashion apparel. That's not a criticism, just an observation. From time to time there is interesting information on how to cut and clean rings, different construction patterns, etc. I've made a post or two there myself.

Another source of info on mail (or maille) is M.A.I.L. that is the Maille Artists International League. It costs nothing to join, and there is a large library of weaves, articles and galleries.W.
