For the purpose of driving the bids up and helping the Charity:

I started a bid at $500.

Outbid me for a good cause!

Only in the interest of charity, I have significantly increased the bid.

Hey Joe,

My understanding of it is, that the auction is running right now, and ends on Sunday (Ebay style bidding).

Price is starting to run up now.

Might be inching out of my reach. Worried

I don't understand - how can you guys see the current price? All I see is "proxy bid on this item now".

I had to call and ask.

And they didn't know.

They called me back late last night to confirm my bid and tell me that somebody had outbid me. I'm not sure how you can find outin real time, or if you can find out in real time.

Thanks Joe.

I think the idea is to watch WPT and see it live - but I'm afraid they don't carry that here in Virginia.
Oh well - hope it finds a good home. I gave it a shot at less than half its "book value", but I'm afraid that will fall far short.

Gordon,

They just called me, and I am now officially out. It is at $1500 as of 6:06 PM EST. Still a deal, but I don't have that kind of money to throw at it now.

So who got it and how good did the deal end up being?

BTW, thank you to whoever outbid me. I really did not need to spend the money!!!

Glad to hear it. They called me last night while I was drinking at the bar with Mike and Harlan (should I say this publicly?) and told me I was the high bidder. Didn't quite know if I was happy with the news or not Happy
