Alright folks it's only a few months away so I hope you have already thought about those hotel reservations. Who is going to be making it this year? I'll be there and Mr. Kelly says he will be there. Thomas are you coming? How about you Dave? I expect that Mr. Evans will be there as usual (at least I desperately hope so I still think I owe him an apology for last year.) Albion? Are you guys coming? Who else?

I'll be there, barring extreme disaster. I believe a buddy of mine is coming as well. Should prove to be a good time - a chance to put faces and handshakes with some of you. Big Grin

That said, I was looking for more specific info as to where, times, etc. Yeah, I need to look at lodging before it gets too late, and I want to stay close to the event. Atlanta isn't the worst place to navigate, but I don't really relish the idea of showing up and hunting for a place to crash... Can y'all help me out with a website or something?

I spoke with Mike Sigman late last week, and he said he was coming down (and probably Harlan), but wasn't certain about the rest of the Albion crew. Don't take my word as a definite, though...

I'll definitely be there with Mrs. Kelly and Squire Mini-me in tow. We'll be at the show all day friday and saturday. This is also our family vacation and our daughter and son in law have requested that we attended services at their church on sunday.

My wife is currently scoping out hotels. I can make a post with cost info if everyone desires it. My wife is a penny pincher, so am I unless it comes to swords. Big Grin

Any info would be helpful, Patrick! I'm all for going "on the cheap" myself - less I shell out on a hotel, the more I have left for a new toy. Or two. Big Grin

I just told my wife "No rat-holes and nothing on the other side of the city". I let you know what she comes up with.

Atlanta is actually within range for me. When/where is it? I have relatives in Canton, Ga, and might be able to visit Big Grin

Last year we stayed at a Wellesly Suites (I think) near the Cobb and the suite was less than $50 a night. Some decent eats right up the hill too. Booked though hotels.com I think. Its been a year so I don't remember everything, prices may not be the same this year either.

June 3,4,5 pretty much means no attending for me this year. Eventhough I REALLY need the break.

Unfortunately for me this does not fall on a school break, and I have to get my son to wrestling camp on the 3rd. Then I have to get him picked up on the 5th.

Somebody please take a whole bunch of pictures!! Happy

So far so good gentlemen... although I'm sorry we won't be seeing you again this year Joe. Steve I would REALLY encourage you to come. It's the biggest blade show in the country to my knowledge. Lots of swords and TONS of knives.

Steve Canton is quite close-say thirty minutes if traffic cooperates. The Galleria is slightly North of Atlanta greatly simplifying the drive if your coming southward. From Canton Take either I-75S or I-575S to I-75S(whichever id closer) to I-285W To Ga.41. Hang a right on and, I believe, a left at the next light and you're pretty much there, but double check these directions before you leave.

Yeah. me too. I was really looking to go to this, to meet some of the forum people I "know" that live far away.

But that is the same weekend as Roman Days in Maryland, so I'll be busy then. Sad
