Now, I'm normally not much into ripping apart wallhangers, as it is pretty futile. I mean, anyone with some knowledge of swords ought to be able to tell that they are just for decoration. But then I found this on http://www.a2armory.com/index.html... This piece of wall decoration is marketed as follows:

But - from what year do you estimate it is from Björn?
It is stated to be a true medieval sword.
what type of blade is it according to Oakeshotts topology?

It's an Oakeshott Type Xr ("r" as in "rated"), featured in his unpublished book "The Sword in the Age of Kitsch". The pommel is a Type @$%, and the guard a Style -1. I thought you all knew that...

Bah! Patrick wouldn't lower himself to own a gen-u-wine pigsticker like some folks... He'd probably get talked about by all the old biddies at the rotary club if he bought one - why, that there man has a reputation to uphold. but fortunately since I'm indecent, I get the cool pigstickers.. 
Now you gotta understand, over in Patrick's armpit of Kansas, those decorative spoons are high class souvineers, and the 'truck stop' is like a shopping mall for rednecks.. so..remember, its all relative...erm..wait. not thats Arkansas, and they're married to their relatives.. my bad.
anyway - yeah... I think a Sunflower State dishhilt rapier... that could be cool.. but only if it were 440 stainless..
Oh, Patrick - I had a blast riding with Troop G. the kid doing 99 in a 70, who was grateful not to be cited for the seatbelt violation... what a hoot. I'd say he was dumber than a mud fence, but that would be unfair to mud fences. I'm just glad we dont have a corner on the idiot market here at the campus PD like i thought...
