I am trying to get acquainted with the military cultures of these areas as it was during the Bronze and early Iron Ages.
I have a copy of The Art of Warfare in Biblical Lands coming. Are there any other books to read that would have more good info?

For the Aegean there is Brouwers' Henchmen of Ares. We don't really have a lot of sources from either region between 1100 and 800 BCE. There are handbooks of regional archaeology and all the Neo-Hittite stelai.

Can I recommend looking up Tam?s Dezso; on Academia.edu? He has written a multivolume set of books on the Assyrian Army, which are very detailed. There is one on Orders of Battle and tactics for example. (vol III, pt 2). Best of all they are downloadable.
