Any news on gaining control to allow new sign ups? I do feel the lack of new people, with their curiosity and ideas, means the MA forum is withering on the vine.

New sign-ups are contingent on the forum software/server being able to reliably send emails as part of the verification process. Email ability was disabled for years due to software security issues before being turned back on a little while back, when we all started receiving PM/topic reply notifications again. However, that has since been disabled. I don't have an answer for why. The technical side of things is pretty much solely Nathan's realm, and his time is allocated elsewhere right now.

If someone emerges with sufficient financial resources and/or a lot of technical know-how, things might be able to change. At the moment, though, we're in a holding pattern.

Don't worry. There will be a big announcement here when/if we get to the point that new signups are possible.
