Hello, a relative of mine has a sword which he wants to send to me. Has anyone ever shipped a sword from US to UK ? Could they share info re any problems they might have experienced. Is it easy enough to do ?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hello, yes I’ve done it lots of times. Custom charges can get a tad steep, and sometimes there’s an addition wait, but I’ve had no real issues. I would recommend that the person shipping to you is a little ‘creative’ on the customs declaration their end e.g. decorative ironwork instead of sword. I hope that helps.

Declaration suggestions: "decorative ironwork", "theatre prop", "sporting equipment", "cultural implement".
