I'm assembling a WOTR English bill-man kit. due to current financial standings and because i think it would look good, i am aiming on using a gambeson with a plackart and jack chains. I just need to know if that would be at all accurate for this era, namely wearing only the plackart over a gambeson which i am having trouble finding evidence of though i know it was not uncommon to see on worn over a brigandine

Not a billman, Flemish and slightly post WOTR but is this the sort of thing?

Close yes, i need to know if the plackart by itself was ever worn standalone.
