Well, gentlemen...as Craig Johnson will attest, I have a LOT of axes and other hafted weapons. For years they have lived in a big plastic garden tool rack, but that's always been a bit rickety and collects dust.
I'm currently setting up the weapons room in my new house, and thinking of trying something like the below link from Amazon -- has anyone tried something similar? I'm thinking I could stack them several deep on those hook arms. Might need to wrap the arms with a rubberized tape to avoid dinging the blades.
Thoughts?

If you're going for solely utilitarian, why not. That hanger system would likely be fairly easy to install and secure and would be fine, so long as the forks are wide enough for your hafts.
If you want something more decorative, maybe something using dowels allowing for angled hang, cross hangs etc That would be more work, though. You'd also probably want to attach the dowels to a lattice or series of vertical boards that could be removed without destroying the wall and allow for changes or additions to the initial layout.

I have something similar for my garden tools. It works fine, but some of my axes and bill hooks hang at odd angles.
Instead of rubberized tape, I used flexible, small gauge rubber tubing to act as a buffer.

Thanks, guys. I did end up ordering that item from Amazon; it seems the most expedient way to try to get most of my axes on the wall without drilling dozens of holes. (They're packed in boxes as I type this, and I don't have an exact count, but there are around 20 of them. Hey, that's 20+ years of collecting, so not exactly a blistering pace, eh? )
Will update with results after it arrives.
