Hello everyone,
Can you help me to identify what is this dagger called, what type is it?
What is the technique used to decorate it called?
What is the handle made of?
I want to try and recreate something similar to it, as a birthday present.
All help is appreciated, thank you for your time.

I'm no expert but this knife looks Indian to me, I don't know what they call it, but the blade has some sort of damascus pattern to it. It also looks like the entire knife is made from a single piece.

Looking closely, there seems to be a pin in the middle of the grip; I think they used metallic scales.

Speaking of the grip, it seems there is a letter etched on it too. I am uncertain what language it's in.

I was afraid it was like that...
Had some time to google myself. For someone like me, this is worlds apart, there is no way I could ever replicate this without some serious training for years...
Ive found a few daggers which are very similar to the one I posted, on ebay, they go pretty cheap, and I dont know what Im gonna get.
I mean, this wasnt ever meant to be a blade to skewer some infidels in your past time, but I dont want it to be just a pretty wall hanger either 
Sadly, the one from kultofathena, the one you linked me, is unavailable, and I like that one the best!
Not to mention that they are reliable vendors.
But if I wanted to make the thing myself, I would have to cheat somehow to achieve the same result as the reference material.
If someone has even a slightest idea on how I could do that, Im all ears.

It's an Indo-Persian pesh-kabz, made of pattern welded steel with koftgari inlay. The inscriptions are in an Arabic script, I think.
