Hello dear friends
I am historical collector but new in collecting swords.I have in my own a Johannes Wundes sword I think, but I do not know anything else about it.Please I need your opinion about this sword.I hope by the photos you can have an idea about its originality or where it comes from.......
Thank you....Nick
There are a few mentions here regarding the Wundes family. I believe the sword is fine and would think a late 17th century assembly but possibly earlier. The blades sold to the market and then swords put together by others. I have some book references in pictures. and a couple of swords myself from the 17th and 18th centuries. Enter Wundes in the search link and those discussions will come up. Mine are later marks than the page examples and lovelies attached below. The simple loop hilt with wire is much like your sword in time.
Thank you very much Glen for your replie. As a new sword collector that I am,your opinion are valuable and helpful for me.Your swords are very nice and historical pieces.
Best regards....Nick
