Dear all
I am looking for some advice from the forum about a commission of blunt trainer.
I have used the Albion Leichtenaur, owned the Hanwei Tinkers and own the A&A Spada da Zogho.
While these are good for what they are, I am more interested in commissioning something much more like an XVIIIb or XVIIIc that has been specifically designed to behave like a sharp but is suitable for steel fighting and that has its own character. 14th/15th C design, simple hilt.
I have had a bit of browse around but would be very interested in advice from others who have gone this route, who they worked with and how it turned out.
I'm happy to spend reasonably in order to get what I am after
thanks
mike

Would the Black Fencer Steel Generation XVIIIa be somewhat close to what you're looking for? I've been impressed with everything from them I've gotten to handle, they have a great reputation overall, and are typically happy to customize their products, too, if you want to change something about it.

Thanks Mikko
I was expecting to need to go custom and was ok about it but the reviews on the Black Fencer steels seem very positive
Will investigate further
