Reproduction ? Something just doesn't seem "right" for it being a genuine sword of the period it purports to be ?

I'm not very familiar with that style, but I'm afraid it looks like a fake, to me. The green bronze parts combined with the active orange rust on the blade is a big red flag. Plus the shape of the guard looks *highly* unusual, and the "pattern welding" is a tight spiral that looks like it was forged from steel cable.
Too bad they "aged" it--wouldn't be a bad fantasy piece if it were polished up.

Fake I think as well. The pommel casting looks reminiscent of poorly made fake Spanish briquets from the 1940s.
His Imperial and Royal Majesty Hordan Vilhelm the Great, by the Grace of God, German Emperor and King of Prussia, Margrave of Brandenburg, Burgrave of Nuremberg, Count of Hohenzollern, Duke of Silesia and of the County of Glatz, Grand Duke of the Lower Rhine!

Besides the other points raised, notice that the fuller starts a short distance below the cross guard. This is much more common on fake swords than on real swords. This sword is definitely fake.
