Hi guys, in this coming summer, I've got an opportunity to make a spear head during a blacksmith class. I really like pattern welding but not skilled enough to attempt it just yet.
I'm looking for other images and some simple stat information on this style of Anglo Saxon spear head. I know the early versions of this style would have a corrugated rib in the middle of it but my personal design for this spear head would be either to fuller the center or leave it pretty flat to add copper inlay work which I like to do.
overall I like it's simple shape, don't think it will be too hard to forge out - but images of them seem to be hit and miss because I don't know how to identity them.
