Anyone have any pictures/or links to a profile of his bascinet? Any other detailed pictures of this effigy in general would be welcome as well.

Thanks in advance

Hi R.
I went to Swine some time ago just to see the effigies - they are quite famous though in a tiny village in the back of beyond. Here a few photos which I took at the time, not exactly a profile of the bascinet but close. Hope they help.
Neil

Think there are some pics of that effigy in Toby Capwell's book? Not entirely sure if the bascinet is covered though.

Thanks for posting those pictures Neil! Effigies and Brasses and the MCS website are great for getting a general view of effigies, but for those of us some distance away from the originals it's frustrating trying to find pictures of details like buckles and straps.

Ed.
