Hello, I need some help with my 14th century suit of armour, which i have been collecting parts for over the last few years. my problem is that i have size 13-14 (UK) feet which i don't know weather will fit in any sabatons which are not made for me. I would not like to get any made for me as it is too expensive.
Any advice would be useful.
Thanks.

Hugo....There is a company here in the US called Medieval Collectibles. They are the only place I know that sells 'off-the-shelf ' sabatons. Their website says they go a little over 11 inches long and a little over 5 inches wide. I do not know the manufacturer. You might be able to modify them to fit. They sell for $99 USD. Hope this helps. Happy .......McM

They are listed under 'Functional Armor' under the sub-heading 'Full Leg Armor'. Good luck!..........McM

You are more than welcome! From the looks of the photos, if they are too narrow you might be able to bend them outward some. It appears that they are only held on the foot by a single buckled strap. You might also be able to replace the strap, or just add to it. I, personally, would put something running underneath to keep them from flopping up and down. I'm sure you will figure it out! Cheers, mate. Happy .........McM

I know the pains of trying to find proper footwear, believe me. Mine are short and wide. Size 8 US and EE TO EEE width, depending on the shoe or boot. I also have high arches, which only adds to it. My wife says I have 'Fred Flintstone' feet! Laughing Out Loud ........McM
