Hi folks,
Many of you followed the building of this commissioned reproduction of a spectacular historical early 18th century Scottish Dirk. My customer (Glenn Osborne) and I were shooting for specs that were as exact as possible and we've decided that the blade thickness I went for led to something heavier than the actual piece. I admit to a bias when it comes to the thick spined early dirks..and this bias crept in. It still falls within historical parameters... but fell short of the vision in this regard. So... my customer is commissioning a tweaked version and we are jointly putting this one up for sale. I will be accepting payment and the dirk will be shipped by the customer.. either to the buyer or to me for a sheath. Please look at my listing here: http://www.bigrockforge.com/brass-heart-dirk/
Also.. I do have a few other things available on my website including a gladius (great price!), Castillon dagger and a contemporary Viking puukko. Please see here: http://www.bigrockforge.com/category/available/
