I have two confirmations on my grandfather's sword and was hoping to get one final confirmation and any additional information, e.g., there are some markings on the sword that remain a mystery to me. Please see: http://www.swordforum.com/forums/showthread.p...tification

I'm just trying to be thorough especially given the fact I know nothing about swords.

Additional questions if you happen to know the answers:

1. How many of these swords were manufactured, where and by who?
2. How rare are they today?
3. What's an approximate value? (ballpark)

Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
