Does anybody have reliable stats, descriptions and/or photos of a German rapier (#A536) in the Wallace Collection?

MRL's "German Rapier" (see below) is allegedly based on the WC original, but that could mean almost anything.

Any assistance is greatly appeciated!

If you can wait for few hours, or if no one else jumps in, I will give you whatever is in the Wallace collection catalogue on this piece.

As I promised.

the catalogues states:

"A536 Sword

Blued hilt. facetted bun-shaped pommel; oval, cord-bound grip; diagonally re-curved quillons of diamond section with pyramid knobs; 2 side-rings of flat triangular section. pas d'ane and transverse bars at the back. stiff tapering blade of diamond section, grooved at the forte stamped with maker's mark on either side; tapering ricasso stamped with with a slightly larger cross on each side.

L. blade and ricasso 42 3/16 (107.0cm); Width 1 1/8 (3.0cm); weight 2lb 8.5oz (1145g)
German, late 16th century"

there does not seem to be a photo in the catalogue...Or at least I am not finding it.

Many thanks! Man, this site is like a magic lamp for arms & armour researchers....

Photos: I've put in a request at the Wallace Collection, but I suspect that won't turn up anything unless they have extensive digital image files.

Maybe somebody else here has seen and/or photographed this weapon.

Doh!
I looked through the rapier album and just competely overlooked it. Male Pattern Blindness, or, as we say down here, "if it was a snake it would have bit me."

Thanks for posting the photo, Nathan!
