Does anybody here know about the cost of a metal press that would be strong enough to shape a fencing mask's mesh -- or, better still, (16-gauge?) perforated steel like in Terry Tindill/That Guy's masks? I know I'm not likely to be able to afford one anytime soon, but it'd certainly be good to know what kind of sum I should save towards.

Another idea - possibly could work well in a case you don't want to achieve high production rate.
Namely - english wheel
Perforated steel (mild, hot-rolled), even 16-gauge thickness, most likely wouldn't be a serious problem

Hmm. Very interesting. How much training would be required to use it effectively, though? I sort of forgot that I should factor in the training/education costs as well.
