I realise that tbis is a bit of a departure from our usual field, as it doesn't relate to arms and armour. However, I can't think of a better place than here to discuss heraldry, as the users on myArmoury are generally extremely clued up on some very esoteric subjects.

So- I recently bought a 16th century jug made by the potter Jan Emens, c1530-1593. Emens was active in Raeren (Belgium) and Westerwald (Germany). The jug in question is typical of Westerwaldware, and is from the end years of his workshop (it is dated 1594), so it is almost certainly a given that it is German.

The belly of the jug bears two shields, surmounted by a coronet. Any ideas as to the town/family they belong to? Or suggestions as to some databases for me to trawl through?

Thanks!

Never seen these coats of arms before.
There's somebody here who can help you identify them, I believe.
