Actually the helmet has another two sources which is based on,but the main is the seal of the duke of Swabia Heinrich(1216-1220).
Both other sources are as well:

I just want to say that you are making some of the nicest helms on the market today. You really capture the historical form and your work gives a sense of authenticity.

... and this means the true craftsmanship in my opinion. we are not machines but human - hand-made work is always unique and original - if the maker did his homework with the sources
