The links below are to the Martinez Academy of Arms Academia held in New Orleans, LA on 20 September 2015. On display by a series of bouts are the use of several Classical and Historical fencing weapons.
This link is to video of the demonstration. https://youtu.be/bMCJKzly_Ko
This link is to a very nice review of entire 3 day event, training and demonstration, written by Patrick Morgan of Columbia Classical Fencing. http://columbiaclassicalfencing.com/2015/09/2...-academia/
This is a link to the Times-Picayune coverage in their web edition of this event (27 pictures).

Of all the demonstrations, I was most impressed by the French smallsword at the end of the video. This demo seems to have had realistic analogs of the actual arms which would have been used in a fight, while also making use of more of the facilities of a fighter. The ladies closed distance and resorted to disarms - I would have been impressed to see grappling, but that would have been a bit too un-ladylike for a formal occaision.
