Hey everyone.
My friend and i were arguing the other day about the Irish ring Pommel, he says that it is silly, i say it's cool. anyway, at some point in the debate he said that he didn't think that Irish Ring pommels were ever really used, that they were just a modern pommel type. I wasn't sure about this, but he pointed out that he had never seen an antique sword with that type of pommel. That got me wondering if he could me right. dose any one have any thoughts on this subject, and maybe some pictorial evidence?

There are definitely antique Irish ring pommel swords in existance today. Unfortunately, my pics of them are on my other computer back in NY. I'm sure Mac or Nathan can post a few for you.
Constant and true.
