I have just posted photo's of a unique and heavily decorated Bronze sword pommel, on my blog. "Falling Angels, Lost Highways." I cannot stress strongly enough just how important that pommel and it's findsite are...
But I have no doubt at all that a lot of you would like replica's of just such a pommel on you swords...
I'll try and get better photo's (if they will let me!) at a later date.
All the Best,
Brian Moffatt.

I've edited your post to include a link to your blog and have moved it to the off-topic forum (since this topic is mostly just a link elsewhere)

A note to all: the blog linked in the first post is full of all kinds of good stuff. Have a look.

Hi Brian. Please excuse my ignorance, but could you please explain the importance of this pommel. It certainly is interesting, but are you stressing it's importance because of it's find location, or because of it's unique depiction of the writers of the gospels? Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad you did, as your blog looks very informative. I'll have to look at it in more detail, when I get the time.

Hello Jason,
Basically size... shape... style and execution of the decoration... and the fact that anything at all Scottish at this early date is more than just rare.
Pretty much as outlined on the blog.
I've been involved now for over 50 yrs... and I have never seen anything better than that one.
All the Best,
Brian Moffatt.
