Hey folks,
I'm looking for inspiration in making a scabbard for a single edged Viking sword.
If you have one of your own or happen to have a few pictures knocking around I'd very much appreciate seeing them.
Also, if there are any usable finds or speculations about such objects I'd love to hear them.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

If it is going to be a single-edge, I would suggest something like a metal-trimmed langseax scabbard. Just my two cents, for what it's worth..............McM

Well I wish I could help you because I am interested in a similar project, designing and possibly building a viking scabbard, though not for a single-edge sword.
Are you looking for general help on scabbard making as well, or very specifically single-edge scabbard historical examples? So far the only historical information I have is on British finds. But I'm happy to pass it on to you, what I got from other people here.
