Saw this and thought it was really cool the photographer spent 9 months putting these together for this spread.

There is a lot of very nice gear on those photographs and an attention to detail that would do a lot of reenactors very well.

On that note, I'm going to have to add a few small pieces to my every growing list of "Stuff I want to add to my kit" that I hadn't thought of up until now. I like that.

That's a very cool collection of photos. thanks for sharing. it was really interesting to see just how much things have changes, not just in styles and armor, clothing and weapons, but also the increasing amount of things that people are expected to carry with/ on them. Thanks for posting!

This article and slide show may be of moderate interest to those on this forum.

There seems to be an artistic trend for photographing large, horizontally-arranged layouts of themed collections. This one focuses on complete military kits which would have been present at certain battles involving English troops. For the most impact, make sure to expand images to full screen.

The take home message: When creating any historic kit, you can't go wrong by starting with a spoon.

A shame really. Another man died for an empire.

i look at that and it reminds me WHY i do reenacting that continuous narrative woven throughout history is a great thing to look at.
