HI All,
I was commissioned to make a scabbard for an Albion Knecht and here is the result.
I based it on the woodcut below, taken from another thread here about scabbards suitable for the Knecht.
The core is poplar, and in this case is fabric covered and then leather covered. The riser is formed out of wood and makes a nice positive stop.
What is notable is the difference is suspension from most other scabbards in that it is on a single belt that passes through a woven section of leather strapping. This style of suspension is very German early 16thC.

Hi Tod,
Great work as ever!
With this single belt suspension, does the sword tend to hang almost vertical as with other single-point designs, or does the lacing mean that it rides more horizontal, as in the woodcut?

Of course ... I should have looked and thought longer! 
Folks, if you're in need of a scabbard, I can't recommend Tod highly enough. I now have a few swords with scabbards from him, and a few more lined up which I'll be commissioning in the coming years.
Tod's quality is of the highest, turnaround times surprisingly fast, and prices very reasonable ... the holy grail of high-level custom artisans.

yes Tod, I saw many similar landsknechts knots on scabbards - but your is little different 
anyway - I like this style - good work.

Just seconding that custom commissions and in stock purchases from Tod have all been positive experiences.
( The Eared Dagger I commissioned a few years ago actually arrived one months earlier than promised  )
I haven't ordered any scabbards from Tod so far at this time, but good to know: I would tend to want to buy both a sword and a scabbard directly from Tod although with some makers like Albion Tod can make a scabbard for some models where the dimensions by the maker are reasonably consistent.
( Not sure if for a swordless scabbard making if Tod makes the internal dimensions of a scabbard a little looser ? ).
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

Not so much the 'puffed,' but you certainly capture the 'slashed' flavor of the Landsknecht nicely!
Seriously though, fantastic scabbard. Love the clean, well made but still fairly utilitarian feel. It looks like it makes carrying the Knecht (a surprisingly large weapon) actually rather practical.
Top notch, as always!
