Hi guys,
I thought I would defer to the experts, but what do you think about how this sword looks.
I'd appreciate a PM and a brutally honest opinion.

Del Tin right?
Customized a bit.
I have one at home with the same type of blade, DT5140.
I´ts very agile and fast, nice for a massproduced "stuntsword".

Actually Fredrik, this is my sword that i had customized, let me tell you. Albion did an impossibly incredible job of it.
oh how would i harp long and hard about the great folk at Albion.
i'd just like to get an opinion on the scheme i took with this 2147

You know I wondered who that belonged to when I saw it up in the shop.
I think it looks pretty nice Dave. I would have preferred a leather covered grip, but just the same I think it has a nice austere look to it.

I just feel that something isn't quite flowing with this particular look. I can't put my thumb on it... but I know either something added or taken away would make it look perfect.

Like Patrick, I saw this sword in the rack at Albion, too. Also like Patrick, I think it needs a leather wrap. I'd go for the cord-under-leather wrap that Albion offers. That would be a fantastic, and complete looking, sword. It does seem a bit incomplete right now.

yes, that's what's missing.
problem is it's not an easy task to simply add leather. i could probably add spiral wrap grip to it. but without disassembling it, i don't believe it possible to properly wrap the grip in leather.
what colour would you recommend?

Now i see what you where meaning...
(English is not my first language, i missundertand things sometimes.) 
A spiraled wrap in oxblood or brown color would look nice, (Or a really bright color even? not my taste but hey! - it´s historical!) .. but i think i would let a pro wrap it in leather over cord myself, with one or more "bands" in the grip.
(As the more knowable guys already suggested.)

I would go for black. It is actually pretty easy to make a leather wrap, provided one use glue instead of stitching. A simple method for getting a result like in the pic:
- Tightly wind the grip with cord, if you want it to offer maximum strength.
- Glue a piece of heavy twine in place about where you have your little finger when you hold the sword, if you want a ring around the grip like in the pic.
- Make a pattern for the leather wrap in something inexpensive and not too elastic. This will save you money. Add a few millimeters as "seam allowance", plus about 5 mm at each end if you want folded/rounded ends.
- Prepare the leather wrap by folding/rolling the ends. Make sure you still have enough leather to cover the entire grip length-wise.
- Use a strong glue for securing the leather. Press it down around the twine ring. Leave a glued-together, raised join like in the sketch, and trim it down afterwards.
Pretty easy; I've done it about three times with good results. Remember that adding leather wrap and wound thread will increase the girth of the grip, in which case it might be needed to trim the grip before wrapping it.

why, that just might be crazy enough to work!
i'll have to shave down the grip at least a millimetre or two. nothing like a fat grip to ruin a perfect sword.

I agree with Bjorn on this one. I think the weapon's appearance would only improve with a leather grip and a ring. But black isn't your only option... what about a dark navy, or an oxblood?

I should add, my first PJ weighs 1 lb 15 oz. The new one with a similar blade profile (except for the triple fullered ricasso) weighs 3 oz less!
Hollow grinding is a wonderful thing ......
