Sadly on Saturday night the Mountfitchet Castle was broken into and items of armour were stolen from the Armoury in the Grand Hall. The hidden cctv cameras caught some very clear images which the police have taken and already have good leads on the culprits.
The police are giving this case high priority as the items stolen are dangerous and offensive weapons including swords, axes, helmets, bows and arrows and chain mail. All the items taken are security marked with indelible ink and therefore making them very traceable.
Please share this post to as many people as possible and help reunite these items back with the castle. If you have any information that could help them, or the police, please contact them via email or any way possible via their website in the strictest of confidence.
A reward is being made available to anyone with evidence leading to an arrest.
Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, also termed simply Mountfitchet Castle, is a Norman ringwork and bailey fortification in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England.

Weapons stolen from Mountfitchet Castle in Essex?
Whoa! That's so terrible.
I hope the local police handle this case and return the weapons to the castle after bringing the culprits to justice.
