So best I can tell in Germany at the time these were the four possible viser types. And unlike the rest of europe many still used the klappviser style mount not all German knights used this klappviser style mount.
Shape wise the onion top bascinet seems to be mainly a local German shape in this time period also. So if I wanted the helmet to best put the harness into the time period it would probably be a hounskull with a klappviser attachement with an onion top bascinet like this one http://carnis.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/1.jpg (Sadly I do not have the finances for this at the moment.)
Does any one have any thoughts or feedback on visers etc of the time. And if possible please show examples of your points and thoughts
That Kult of Athena helm may not be as historical as you want and may not fit the time period either. The GDFB helm is a badly done great bascinet attempt.
Well I found a Germany company that makes an affordable helmet I like the design of. But these earlier flatter faced visers are pretty rare when you get to 1400. I would like to see if I would find some more images of them around 1400 then I would just use oneof these I like the shape.
They also make a more a hounskull helmet that is not bad looking but not typically German in shape or mounting.
I will probably not find one like this for the same (under $150 price).
