Are there any durable and inexpensive blunt in the market?

Like one that are suitable for fencing and re-enactment, plus peened?

Price range between 100-200$

Many have picked this Practical Hanwei model SH2106 to use as a blunt.

I believe that this model is (temporarily?) inactive, and Therion Arms may be the only place that you can get it.

Are you looking for a longsword or a single-hander?

You might want to take a look at the rest of the Hanwei Practical line - I had a Viking (fourth gen) and it was pretty tough. They were a lot cheaper then than they are now, though!

Right - there are some Hanwei Practical singlehanders - you can find them at Therion Arms, and maybe a few other places.

SH2326 - the Norman
SH2047 - the Viking
SH2046 - the regular single handed sword.

I'm not sure about the quality of these swords.

If you want a really good single-hander blunt, there is the Albion Maestro I:33. Unfortunately it costs $430.00

i possess the practical norman sword by hanwei, and a number of my fellows have the viking, as an entry level sword it's a very solid choice.

Szymon Chlebowski makes very good blunts. They are light, well balanced, have distal taper. The finish is't bad for a price point (coarse satin). They are IMHO great for sparring and reenactment.

It seems that Deepeeka , from India, has upped their game a bit. Their sword of St. Maurice looks pretty good, and is full tang and peened. Nice looking scabbard, too. I'm thinking of getting one myself. For $129+shipping from Kult of Athena....not bad. Big Grin

They still advertise swords for sale that just CAN'T be had....anywhere....Like the Hanwei Sidesword. Out of stock...back-ordered. C'mon, Hal.....if ya got it, list it. If ya don't...tell us. Kovex ars.
Marek armoury
Fabri armoury (is also at KOA)

All three makers are very often used in the European Hema and reenactment scene.

Marek is nornally sold with scabbard and belt very good starter swords.

Kovex is very variable in weigth and balance and there swords i would like to handle before i buy one.

Fabri blades are very good and there Standard line has something for everyone, show, training and reenactment.
