Hi guys, would appreciate a little bit of help from a newcomer to old weapons.
I picked this item up in Cambodia and have little idea of it's authenticity or period.
All comments/ideas/suggestions welcome!

many thanks

Hey there welcome to the forum!

Although I can't tell much from your photos, that the sword shares identical designs to the rest of the stuff in the photo makes me think that this is nothing more than typical tourist tat.

The sword itself is most likely a dha.

Thanks for the Welcome + Advice William!

Yes, that's quite possible. I did like the way it was designed which is primarily why it caught my attention. It's very heavy probably around 20-25 pounds and the blade is not sharp - I gather the metalwork at the time was not very refined whichever era it is from.
Now I'm becoming curious about any backstory it might have.
From what I understood of the dialogue between my local tour guide and the seller it appears that there are quite a number of these items as landmines are removed in many of the provinces across the country. I suppose that's at least somewhat believeable.

Hmmmm, looking closely it appears that these are cast metal and may have been used for statues in a temple.
