I once made a Scottish sgian dubh for a friend of mine. It had a deer antler handle that I drilled a hole in for the tang of the blade. I used pine sap, scraped right off the bark of the tree, the dust from the drilled-out antler, and a bit of charcoal dust , all mixed together and heated in the microwave. It turned into a little pile of goop that looked like JB Weld. I used it to glue the blade into the antler. I'd challenge Patrick Kelley, with his big muscles, to pull it loose! ....McM

I think the newer line of swords look decent for the price point.
There are a couple makers out there that do not look much better and charge 3-4 times as much.

When I get the extra cash to buy one, who thinks I ought to bump the extra 50 bucks for the KOA cross-hatched grip rewrap? I think it would look killer. ...........McM
