Hi, I'm hoping someone could give me info here. I have NO idea about swords and have inherited a sword which I have no idea where it comes from, or how to check how "real" it is. I would absolutely love any info you could give me on the sword. Thanks!

Hi Sera
Welcome aboard.
When using image tags, the picture url must usually end in jpg. What you are usoing as links are available only to you. It has been awhile since I have fooled around with my google account but there will be options to share image urls, or a gallery without a secured section only you can see.
You can use a free download that will live on your desktop called Shrink PIc http://www.onthegosoft.com/sp_download.htm
There are actually many ways to manage picture size and then pictures can be attached directly when using the system here.
One can also host pictures on a site and then share in the text entrey window. I use www.tinypic.com more and more these days, even when I have a gallery of albums I can draw from. It is often easier for me just to use that instead of finding it in my own mess http://my.opera.com/3sails/albums/ Such an option, making galleries is a good way to go if you are organized. Tinypic is associated with photobucket. You will get the idea.
I end up using all three options, attaching, tinypic (any host really) or using my gallery.
I don't see an easy workaround using the image urls you have supplied.

I tried to copy and paste the web links in to my browser and got this message
403. That’s an error.

that is my IP so I am guessing that the images are set to privet and you can see them and we can not. If you would use a different picture host or change the privacy setting we would be able to see your sword.

That is incorrect.
The problem is that they are on a secure server (https://) and the URLs need to change to http://
In this case, the photos are not public.

True and my reply somewhat qualified by saying "usually" and pointing out the fact that they are private links. However you want to describe to someone about secure sites in this case, just dropping the s from https still does not allow access to a private page.
For the complete novice on a computer, picture sharing can be a real issue and as much as I have tried to help newcomers, various forums do better or worse in offering tutorial links upfront. I am not targeting myArmoury for any faults, as even the largest billboard and arrows pointing are often overlooked. Add that a lot more every day are using tablets or phones, also new to them.
I often offer many to just have the pictures emailed to me but that can be a hurdle for some as well. What is the do all solution? Few sites are posting full tutorials for picture sharing. Many boards have their own quirks or limitations, unfathomable for a lot of today's internet users. As silly as suggesting www.tinypic.com as a solution, I have had great success with beginners using the site and then better understanding the process.
