Hello, I am familiar with brigandines, but have never seen anything like this before. Is there any historical evidence that something like this existed?

Yes, but not exactly.
First of all, Munchen type of brigantine is basically a cloth covered breastplate.

Second, there are some paintings of the burgundian wars period that show some armours covered in cloth. But there's still two options - eather it can be brigantine or surcoat.
Still I like the variant of plates covered in cloth, it a practical thing when you are in the field for a lond time period and your armour rusts less.
