i don't really bash cold steel's products or at least attempt not to sound that way, but its as if they attempt to make a product to resemble something historical, but slightly miss the mark in their design.
i can remember seeing the official cold steel videos of this and a few other of their historical swords and can remember seeing from the lighting reflections in the videos the waves in some of their grinds. they just look like they need a touch of refinement to my eye.

Testing the cold steel grosse messer with the owner after sharpening it. Since I've learned the sword power, our cutting had become relaxed.
