I've browsed through the site's photo albums looking for examples of hammer headed pole axes with a bill, but without a thrusting spike or cutting edge mounted on the top of the piece. I'm thinking of a upcoming project using again an old bud-k relic my brother gave to me.

I'll include a picture of what i have a little later if it helps find any close historical examples that i may be able to turn it into. as it is, it's basically a hammers head with a long bill, and i know it would be easier to just rebuild it into a horsemen styled hammer, but i want to go and get a little crazy. FWIW...Cold Steel just reintroduced their pole-axe. Lots of custom ideas available there. If it's half as badass as their tomahawks, it's a steal. It's in the new Special Projects catalog. Very plain-Jane, but beggin' for 'bling'. Happy ...McM

i got a pic of it below here, it's got a little bit of a historical look, honestly don't know the company- nor the actual steel its made from. stamped stainless like so much other crap from bud -k but again this piece has has spotting and rust developing.

like anything i attempt to make, in hopes it gets a little attention, i want it to look as historically accurate as i can make it, with my own little touch of style as well.

adding a thrusting spike or blade to the top of the head is not impossible for me to pull off, in fact it would be a little of a challenge i should take on. just wondering if there are any examples that i can base this head off of that i won't need to extremely modify to look correct.
