Okay so I know that there is talk about what Valiant Armoury has been up to so I want to go ahead and set the record straight. VA... Not going anywhere. No we're not going out of business and yes we do have new swords coming out this year. In fact sooner rather than later. My next shipment from the forge has several new sword blades on it. 2 Type XVIIIs, a Type XV, 2 Type XVI's and Type Xa or maybe it's a XI. As well as a Big Freaking Type XII War Sword. All of these will be released before or during summer. They will have Mild Steel Fittings that are cast right here in Texas and Hot Peened assembled. None of the new swords will come with Hex Nuts unless special ordered. All will have exceptional scabbards and Leather work. I am really trying to elevate what it is the Valiant Armoury does.
And as for the Subject line....
I had a customer order the Crusader but he wanted the Castile blade with an integral belt. I liked this package so much I have decided to offer it is as a model for a limited number of pieces. 10 of these beauties are available. If these are well received I might consider adding this as a regular option somewhere in the future but for now there are only 10 of these bad boys . See them here: http://www.customswordshoppe.com/shoppe/produ...ucts_id=90
Anyway, That is all for now
Sonny

By the way. I said Crustile as a sort of tongue in cheek joke. I will never sell a sword called the "Crustile" Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Right, it sounds a little too much like Coustille.

Sonny, are all of those new models singlehanders? No longswords?

Hi everyone,
I am the proud owner of the Crusader/ Castille hybrid and let me tell you, the pics barely do the sword credit.
I loved the fact that Sonny was able to address my desire for a slightly chunkier version of the regular Crusader sword by suggesting making it with a Castille blade. I'm 6'5" and some swords, though historically correct in size just look a bit too dainty on me. This was a perfect solution short of a very expensive custom blade. Add the rock-tumbled hardware and the beautiful integral belt scabbard and this thing is magnificent.
Can't wait for my next creation from Valiant.
J
