First rule about medieval fight club: don't talk about medieval fight club.

These seem to have OK specs, like hardness and weight. The tang is nice and full, and the shoulders seem rounded, all of which is good. Couldn't find which steel they use, though. Seems like OK stuff, but there might be a bit of risk. If you really want a bare blade you can be sure is good, go with the albion ones.

I think you can also get some Hanwei bare blades, but those are threaded. You could also contact a local sword smith and ask for a bare blade.

In my experience, MFC blade blanks are fine for pell swords, and maybe for re-enactment fighting. The ones I've used had little taper, either profile or distal. Tips were broad and rounded (good for various re-enactment fighting), and taper in thickness was perhaps from about 5mm to 4mm. Not good for WMA sparring blunts.

Newer models might differ.
